About the College
Qinhuangdao Foreign Language Professional College is a public institution providing a high quality education, with a strong emphasis on foreign language instruction, professional skills, employment and careers.
The college has a history of over 100 years and traces its origins back to 1906. It is located on 35 hectares of land and has idyllic surroundings, with the Daihe River bordering the school to the north and the Bohai Sea lying to the south. In order to meet the demands of an ever-increasing number of students, the college is in the middle of expanding. When finished, the college buildings will occupy an area of 180,000 square meters.
The college provides 3-year courses to Chinese students and Chinese language instruction to International students. There are six departments for Chinese students, the Department of English, the Department of Western Languages, the Department of Eastern Languages, the Department of Tourism, the Department of International Business, and the Department of Mass Media. The college offers courses in English, French, German, Russian, Korean and Japanese, and offers specializations in more than 20 different areas, including English Education, Tourism English, Applied French, Applied German, Business Russian, Business Korean, Business Japanese, Air-hostess Training, Preschool education, Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Hotel Management, Media Broadcasting, TV Program Production, Home Economics, International Logistics and Customs Declaration, Logistics Management, and Musical Education.
The Department of Foreign Affairs is responsible for teaching Chinese as a second language to foreigners. We offer beginner, intermediate and advanced Chinese courses to international students. Foreign students can improve their Chinese with our friendly and experienced teachers and make friends with Chinese students who can speak at least one of the six languages. They can also take one of the six languages as elective courses in their spare times. QFLPC is an ideal choice for language learning.
