Campus Information
The college is located in Nandaihe, a famous sightseeing location adjacent to Beidaihe, China’s summer capital. The campus covers an area of 35 acres. To the north of the school lies the Dai River, and 600 meters to the south lies the golden beaches of the Bohai sea. Here we have clean air, a beautiful environment and convenient transportation.
Getting to QFLPC’s Campus
The college is located in Nandaihe, a famous sightseeing location adjacent to Beidaihe, which is an area of Qinhuangdao city. It’s close to the Jingshen Express Way, Jingqin railway, and Shanhaiguan Airport.
By plane
Beijing Capital International Airport is the closest airport to the college. From there you can catch a domestic flight to Shanhaiguan Airport, or you can take the airport shuttle bus to Beijing Railway Station and then take a train or a bus to get to QFLPC. Taxi-cab and car services are available at the airport and, even though they cost more, they can be more convenient if you have a lot of luggage.
By train
Take trains at the Beijing Railway Station, get off at Beidaihe Railway Station (which is the closest), or get off at Qinhuangdao Railway Station (which is further), then take a taxi or bus to QFLPC.
By bus
From Qinhuangdao Railway Station, take bus No.34 to the Haibin bus station, the terminal, then take bus No.22 to QFLPC. From Beidaihe Railway Station, take bus No. 22 and get off at QFLPC.
By car
Take Jing-Shen expressway to the Beidaihe toll, get off the road and go south, cross the Daihe Bridge on the right and there is QFLPC.
Expansion Project
The college is currently expanding. The Qinhuangdao municipal government attaches great importance to the development of the college, and in accordance with the needs of the economic and educational development of our city, requires the college to extend as soon as possible, and to become the Foreign Language University of Hebei Province. This plan has the support of the people’s government and the education department of Hebei Province. Supported by the leaders and relevant departments at all levels, the extension project of our college was agreed to by the discipline inspection commission of the city in 2001, who agreed to our college’s extension plan. The city planning committee studied the expansion of our college for several times, requiring the college to follow the phased construction for the standard unified planning of universities of undergraduate courses. The college plans to take over 494 mu of land, but will first take over 394 mu of land, (the land of Beidaihe district), and carry on construction according to the scheme of unified planning.
The development and reform committee of the city have already sanctioned the feasibility research report for our college’s first stage of the extension project on December 5, 2003. The preliminary tentative design has already passed the examination of the government, and the construction drawing of the project has also already been designed. Now some of the first period of the expansion project, including four teaching buildings, two students’ apartments, a foreign Expert Apartment and an accommodation building, have finished and they have been in use since September 2006. At that time, the second period of the expansion project will start. The whole project will be finished in three years.
After extending, the college will guarantee 8000 students’ studying and living needs. The college’s planned construction area is 214770.2 square meters (including the former campus of 44540 sqm). The newly plan construction area is 170230.2 sqm (including the first stage of newly-built building of 104904.2 sq.) The new construction areas are as follows :- Comprehension building 25510 sqm
