Recruitment policy
Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that QFLPC will attract and retain highly qualified workforce available to us.
Recruitment Procedures
- When a department is in need of foreign teachers, the department should send a report about the numbers and required qualifications of the foreign teachers to the Department of Foreign Affairs in April and October of each year.
- After getting the presidents’ approval, the Department of Foreign Affairs will start to publicize the information on the internet, through agents and any other resources available. The information includes: job vacancies, required qualifications and documents, work assignments, benefits and recruitment procedures.
- The candidates should provide the following documents:
- a copy of valid passport
- a copy of university degree and certificate
- a recommendation letter from former employers
- current resume
- foreign teacher’s application form
- a recent digital photo.
- After negotiation and the two sides have reached an agreement, the candidate should take a health test in accordance with the requirements of Physical Examination Record for Foreigners’ and fax (or email) the results to the Department of Foreign Affairs. At the same time, fill in the Application Form for Work Permit and send it to the college.
- The Department of Foreign Affairs will apply for work permit and invitation letter and then send them to the foreign teacher. The teacher could take those documents to a Chinese embassy or consulate to apply for Z visa (work visa).

- Native English speaker
- BA degree
- Two years of teaching experience
- Work assignments:
- Oral English or other courses at the request of the college
- 18 class periods per week

3500RMB per month, BA, less than two year teaching experience
3800RMB per month, MA, or BA with more than two year teaching experience
4000RMB per month, Professors or associated professors
Salary will be paid monthly in RMB from the day of starting work to the expiration of the contract. This includes summer, winter holiday and any other holidays stipulated by China’s laws and regulations, such as May Day, National Day, New Year Holiday, etc. The salary is to be paid by the 5th day of each contracted month (in case of weekends or holidays, it will be paid afterward). In cases where the amount of time worked is shorter than a whole month, the payment shall be counted by day. The daily wage shall be 1/30 of the monthly salary(the same with February). No more than 70% of the salary can be changed into foreign currencies per month. - Free accommodation
The college will offer free accommodation to the foreign teachers, including 24-hour hot and cold water supply, 24-hour electricity and heating, TV set, DVD player, refrigerator, washing machine, air conditioner, kitchen and kitchen equipment, furniture, private phone call system (the foreign teacher should pay phone bills), computer and free access to the Internet. - Return air ticket for one year contract, one-way air ticket for one semester contract
- The college will provide pickup service to bring the foreign teacher to the school once he/she has arrived in China to take the teaching position. After the foreign teacher successfully fulfills his/her contract, the college will arrange a vehicle to send him/her to Beijing Airport.
- During the validity of the contract, a travel stipend of 1,100yuan RMB will be paid by the college to the foreign teacher at the completion of each semester of teaching if the foreign teacher satisfactorily fulfills his/her responsibility.
- The college will provide health insurance to the foreign teacher. The college’s clinic is available for the foreign teacher’s use at no cost. If medical treatment outside the college is necessary, the foreign teacher should receive medical treatment in the hospital foreigners appointed by the college, otherwise, the expenses shall be covered by the foreign teacher. Expenses for registration, transportation for medical care, tooth inlaying, face lifting, massage, glasses, meals in hospital, tonics not for medical purpose, and doctor’s house calls shall be covered by the foreign teacher. During the term of the contract, the medical care expenses of the foreign teacher in the hospitals foreigners appointed by the local government during business errands shall be paid by the college. The medical expenses incurred during private travels shall be covered by the foreign teacher. During the term of the contract, medical expenses incurred in Taiwan province, Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR and places outside China will be covered by the foreign teacher.
