ELT Edge Scholarship

On November 5, 2007, we held the ELT Edge Scholarship Donation ceremony in the meeting room on the first floor of the main building. ELT Edge donated 6000 Yuan to our college for this year, and simultaneously set up an ELT Edge Scholarship to help financially needed students who are excellent both in study and moral.

Joe Dutra, director of ELT Edge, Anne Dutra, Joe’s wife, our ELT Edge teachers, President Ding, Mr.Chi, Director of Student Office, Mr.Li, Director of Department of Foreign Affairs and those six students who are subsidized attended this ceremony.

Mr. Chi presided at the ceremony and was interpreted by Mr. Li. First, President Ding gave a brief important speech, he said: our college students are subsidized by society and government in succession and this time they are helped by our foreign teachers, I appreciated it from the bottom of my heart. Second, Joe gave a short speech, he said: ELT Edge and QFLPC are good friends already, we are so glad to do those things we can easy to do and hope them could inherit Chinese traditional culture and cherish college life, put them into the right position, keep working hard, so they can make good use of their skills in society. Later on, students representative expressed that they will self strive and self help, determined to repay to ELT Edge’s subsidization and college’s care by their excellent academic records.
