International Thanksgiving Dinner
November 22, 2007
On November 22, 2007, all of the foreign teachers had a meaningful and yet unusual Thanksgiving under the organization of the Department of Foreign Affairs.
At six o’clock, the foreign teachers brought their well- prepared, traditional food to Room 112 one after another. In order for the teachers to know more about our traditional food “Jiaozi,” the Department of Foreign Affairs’ staff carefully taught them how to make it, and all the teachers showed great interest in learning how to put it all together. After Jeff Li’s brief Thanksgiving dinner speech, they began to taste all of the delicious international foods, continually praising each other for the wonderful dishes and the Foreign Affairs staff for organizing the activity.
At last, the enthusiastic dancing of the foreign teachers created an exciting conclusion for this wonderful night together, a night of celebration for the unique cultures that create such a diverse community at our college.
